Laura O'Connor is an Edmonton-based visual artist, designer, and avid cinema buff who draws inspiration from her infatuation with pop culture. Her practice often combines fibre arts, photography, and digital illustration to create bold and playful work.

Laura obtained her BDes in Photography from the Alberta University of the Arts, where she received the Board of Governors Graduating Student Award for her major in 2006. Since then, her work has been exhibited across Alberta in solo and group shows and has two pieces in The Provincial Arts Collection. Recently, one of her photo-illustrations was chosen as the cover art of Marita Dachsel's poetry collection There Are Not Enough Sad Songs.
